Make our future mixed reality world more understandable and affordable, thanks to Cylensee new eye contact lens assistants.

Cylensee, the first Human Machine Interface (HMI) contact lens designer and manufacturer.

Thanks to its smart contact lens platform, Cylensee demonstrates its capability to encapsulate a large variety of optoelectronics functions in contact lenses (flexible batteries, NXP transceivers, photodiodes, lasers, blink detectors, holographic elements etc.).

Our contact lenses are customizable on demand according to your application and needs.
Cylensee smart contact lenses provide precise visual pointing and tracking allowing:
  • to compute and follow the gaze direction.
  • to activate a menu (e.g. using a blink command).
  • to select a visual target (designation).
  • to guarantee alertness in the perception of peripheral information (command, warning) without leaving an attentional pointing.
  • to avoid a tunnel effect of zones out of attention
Our lenses are provided with their driving eyewear but can be adapted to any type of eye-wears or headsets.
Our contact lens eye-trackers are compliant with Microsoft Hololens 2.

Other products :

The Cylensee Cyclops range:
Our Cyclops contact lens is an IR laser pointer materializing the gaze direction. It is made of one or to IR VCSELs with their driving electronics. They are remotely activated by a RFID command.  Cyclops contact lenses are available in different versions : Cyclops 1 laser pointer:   Can be used as an eye-tracker. The beam is collimated or not on demand according to the detection system used. Cyclops 1 includes:
  • A double IR laser (VCSEL) pointer,
  • An harvesting antenna (by induction)
External monitoring by :
  • a camera (target detection)
  • a Position Sensitive Device (PSD) for spot detection.
Cyclops 2 for target projection or designation:   Cyclops 2 incorporates a Fourier hologram projecting an icon or an image on a screen (see video). Two different holograms can be embedded in the standard version.
The Cylensee PRAR :
Cylensee develops a peripheral retinal augmented reality (PRAR) contact lens, operating as an eye-up display (EUD), by analogy with HUD used in driver assistance systems, allowing the driver to keep their head up and their eyes on the road, while having access to real-time information in their field of view.   Cylensee PRAR embeds an annular lightguide ring with 4 lasers illuminating 8 different holograms projecting icons, warnings or patterns (i.e. few hundred possible combinations) on the parafovea, independently of the eye movements (see below) and blinks.

Lasers are remotely activated by a headset or a smartphone. The system can be used for instance to send alert signals to the wearer about obstacles or potential dangers arising in his vicinity (e.g. potential upcoming collisions obtained from gps positioning and routing) as depicted in video below.

Cylensee PRAR is the perfect candidate for obstacle avoidance, scene understanding, formation and navigation. It can be connected with any cognitive assistant (e.g. headset, smartphone) that localizes the wearer, acquires knowledge about its surrounding and communicates warnings and useful data to him (read more).

Other products (cosmetic and eye protection) :

The Cylensee Iris:

The contact lens IRIS changes color or opacity on demand, by a simple remote electrical command (RF remote control or smartphone).

IRIS is useful for aesthetic purposes (only the tint of the iris changes) or to filter light (the varying density is placed in front of the pupil). IRIS can also be used to trigger alarms in real time, in response to critical situations, for example as part of a smart health system.

Wear our eye assistants in full confidence.

Our contact lenses are scleral contact lenses. They are made in PMMA. The absence of contact with the cornea makes them comfortable, and very steady when worn (scleral lenses are worldwide fitted by ophthalmologists and optometrists).

Our contact lenses are the result of a well-controlled manufacturing process and recognised know-how for fitting and handling.

Our contact lenses are medical devices. They are compliant with the EEC directive (2017/745 MD Class IIa). Our Cyclops 1 contact lens laser pointer is currently completing the EC marking.
